Metaverse ıs Comıng!

Metaverse ıs Comıng!

Metaverse is Coming!

Forget about the digital experience you’ve ever had so far! First virtual reality, then augmented reality, now finally the alternative universe calls us, with the metaverse. Metaverse, which removes another border between the physical and digital world, is a much more fast-moving, exciting and interactive virtual world. Indeed, it’s estimated that one out of every four people will spend at least one hour per day in the metaverse by 2026. So, what is metaverse? What does it change, what does it promise? What does it mean for marketing?

Metaverse for beginners

The term metaverse can be traced back to the 1990s. Author Neal Stephenson first coined the term in his 1992 science-fiction novel ‘Snow Crash’. Matrix series or games like World of Warcraft, Second Life, and Minecraft said a lot about it. But in 2021, Mark Zuckerberg announced Facebook is rebranding as Meta, the term suddenly came to the fore.

The word metaverse is a portmanteau of the Greek term ‘meta’ (meaning beyond, post) and the English word ‘universe’. In a word, we can call the metaverse ‘beyond the universe’. In practical terms here are the ones that most define it: The next phase of the internet, the internet we live in, is not two-dimensional but three-dimensional internet. Simply the metaverse is a virtual reality world where users can interact, game, shop, conduct business as they would in the real world. We exist in this world through our virtual representations, aka our avatars.

What we do in this world?

Let’s put it this way: With current AR and VR technology, we can do many day-to-day businesses in the metaverse, such as going to the movies or restaurants, attending a business meeting. We can go to the stores with our avatar and go shopping while sitting at home, and then the product we buy comes to our real address. With real estate sales, concerts, virtual stores of many famous brands, and even banks, the virtual universe ‘comes to life’. Virtual currencies are circulating in the crypto money market, NFTs, that is, non-fungible tokens are bought and sold.

And consumers seem to be fond of it. As of March 2022, the keyword ‘metaverse’ yields more than 68 million results on Google. The hashtag #metaverse is widely used on Instagram, with at least 1.3 million posts. So, what are the effects of the metaverse when it comes to social media and digital marketing?

Metaverse marketing

For brands, metaverse represents an opportunity to reach new audiences, improve customer confidence, and find out a potential revenue stream. The key point is to create marketing experiences that are linked to real-world experiences or what the brand does in real life. While doing this, marketers need to keep in mind the value of millennials and Gen Z, who dominates the metaverse. Here, we can summarize which strategies stand out as follows:

  • Adapting your brand naturally into the platform is important. Like having virtual billboards within online games, digital concerts, or sports activities, placing ads on users’ avatars.
  • Real-life marketing in the virtual stage means a lot. to It’s necessary to replicate what the brand/product offers in real life in the virtual world. This also increases engagement. E.g., creating avatars that deliver food or use your products.
  • You can develop the marketing strategy through avatars. Think of this as influencer marketing… User-generated content is quite important, and in the metaverse, they become integral parts of the campaigns.
  • You can have your virtual store and make interactive 3D presentations. You can create campaigns, that prioritize customer experience/participation; e.g., live events or gamification. Furthermore, you can offer virtual try-on.
  • You can confer limited-edition items that they can only collect and use in the metaverse. Like, creating items for avatars that they can use in-game.

The Metaverse, as emerged from science fiction books and adapted to the real world, offers a unique experience to both individuals and brands. In this universe, we can access almost all of the real-life experiences, and it is not yet clear how much it will expand. But to discover and use it, that’s all we’ve got right now!

Put Me In CC: What ıs Emaıl Marketıng?

Put Me In CC: What ıs Emaıl Marketıng?

How many times a day do you check your inbox? How many email notifications do you receive every few minutes? Quite a lot, right? It is estimated that every day 333.2 billion emails are sent and received worldwide. Communication still depends mostly on emails. Among those in the inbox, there are also products, services, and campaign contents, for sure. Well then, let’s cut a long story short: Email marketing!

Even it’s one of the oldest versions of digital marketing, email marketing is still essential due to this usage rate. And so how about finding answers to the following questions one by one: What is email marketing, what are the advantages, what should be considered?

What is email marketing?

For brands, email marketing refers to using mail content to reach their target audience and to develop relationships with their current customers. The content of those emails can be: Product/service advertisement, newsletter, membership opportunities, promotions, campaigns, discounts, or celebration messages like birthday cards… Posting systematically is important. Monthly newsletters or weekly product promotions can be sent, and periodic content that announces special offers during special occasions can be selected. In this way, brands reach large masses, gain customers, build direct connections, and also brand awareness is increased. Personalized emails also strengthen loyalty to the brand.

Who did this first? To answer this, we need to go back to 1978. Gary Thuerk, a marketing manager for the computer company Digital Equipment Corp, sent the first-ever commercial email to nearly 400 customers at once. Thuerk sold 13 million dollars of products with this move… And also earned a nickname: Father of the spam!

Nowadays Thuerk’s ears must have been burning a lot but after that attempt, email marketing evolved gradually. The latest data shows that 87 percent of marketers use email marketing to distribute their content, making it the second most popular content distribution channel, just behind social media (89 percent). In terms of advantages, what else do we have?

6 reasons to choose email marketing

To make use of the advantages provided by email marketing, there’s a catch: If you do not want to be treated as Gary Thuerk, you should get approval from customers before sending an email. Because spams are not welcomed in any case and harm the brand’s reputation. But once approved, those pluses will follow:

  • It’s cost-efficient and fast. The bouncing rate (form customers) balances the budget and time spent.
  • It’s instant, easily sent, and sharable.
  • Builds direct contact with customers. People check their inboxes regularly therefore view range is quite high.
  • As the customer allows this communication, the chances of engagement and return increase.
  • The target group can be segmented according to certain characteristics (location, age, education, gender, etc.). More personalized content can be created.
  • It is very easy to measure, compare and analyse, which also makes it easier to take action or change the strategy case by case.

How it should be?

Before sending an email, you should make sure that you have prepared the ideal content. What should email marketing be like? What should you pay attention to?

  • Text should capture customers from the very beginning, even from the mail subject line. For that, the text should be catchy and remarkable. Should deliver a clear and powerful message that focuses on the main function of the product/service. Should offer a strong motivation to encourage customers, such as a limited offer or discount. Of course, it should carry a call to action, at the end.
  • We tend to eat up any content we see in seconds. Therefore, your email should be distinguishable and should deliver its message directly.
  • Same content and style over and over again can be boring. Instead of sending campaign and sale messages, you should sometimes share information about the brand.
  • Regular communication is a must to keep your client warm. In addition to that, email timing is everything, consider sending an email when the consumer’s product is about to run out!
  • Design should be clear, easy-to-read, and aesthetic.
  • We check our emails on mobile devices and phones. Your emails need to look on mobile.

Although many trends appear in marketing and advertising, email marketing is a method that will not be outdated for a long time. Just make sure that your email won’t go into spam!

Do you know what podcast marketıng ıs?

Do you know what podcast marketıng ıs?

Before investing in podcast marketing, you should do your research to see if it is what you actually want. You should consider doing some research before you spend money on any form of marketing.

Podcast marketing is marketing done through the use of audio content…

It is done by you advertising your product or services through the creation of audio content. Podcasts are digital audios made available on the internet for people to download to a device, they are typically in series format and have a set timetable as to when each episode comes out. New apps also allow you to subscribe to a specific podcast letting you get notifications when a new episode comes out.

Podcasts can be done by anyone and they can be on pretty much anything, whether it be a podcast on different music to a podcast on gossip like talk shows. A podcast can be o anything within reason. If done properly podcast can be very good; you can gain a good following on there and you can end up having brands sponsor you to promote their products or services.

Let us explain to you why we believe podcasts are a good way to conduct marketing for your firm.

Podcast marketing has quite a few advantages to it. Below we have listed some of the advantages it holds:

  • It’s easy to produce
  • It is a cheaper way of marketing, so it is good for small firms
  • You can do it yourself
  • It can be about anything
  • So many people now listen to the podcast
  • It is a lot easier than video marketing
  • You can reach new audiences
  • You can bring guests onto your podcast
  • You can sponsor another podcast to talk about your product

Podcasts are valued by customers; they often find them informative and educational…

Research shows that 67% of podcast listeners enjoy hearing the ads and sponsored products on a podcast. This is a very large number compared to the 6% for TV and radio listeners/watchers.

Another study shows that 78% of listeners are comfortable with hearing adverts on podcasts to support free content that is largely available to the public!

Did you know podcasts can increase your business’ rankings?

If you are familiar with the term SEO (search engine optimization) you will know how important it is to a business and its website content. SEO is the process of improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or web page from search engines. By using keywords, you can increase the traffic to your website or web page.  All you need to do is find the correct terminology that you can use. Whilst SEO is normally done on the website, social media, and blog content; it can also be done by optimizing a podcast. By using the appropriate words, you can increase your podcast views which can lead to more people visiting your website.

After you create a podcast, you can mix this marketing method with marketing on social media and email advertisement. What we mean by this is advertising your podcast on your business’s social media accounts. By email advertisement, we are talking about sending out a mailing to your customers to make them aware of the podcast you have.

You need to remind them that you have a podcast, this can even be done on your website. Some examples of where you could put it on your website include:

  • Having a small icon in a corner for people to access your podcast
  • Have a sub-page just for your podcasts
  • Have a banner on your page promoting your podcast
  • At the bottom of your page where most firms tend to have their social media icons and accounts linked, you can add in a podcast icon.

The icon link will direct the customer straight to the podcasts allowing them to schooner which one to listen to. If they subscribe to your podcast, they should automatically get notifications as to when you post your new podcast.

Brand partnerships through podcast

Podcasts are a great way to conduct brand partnerships. Large numbers of influencers are now creating podcasts listed by hundreds of their followers. It is the same idea as influencer marketing.
